We provide ESL classes to adults, these classes are designed to teach immigrants and refugees with limited English proficiency how to read, write and speak the English language. we also offer interpretation during classes this makes it much easier for our students.
We provide parenting tools that help parents navigate many different public system they encounter like finding appropriate doctors, signing children up for school, providing advocacy with school personnel when needed, parenting education that help bridge cultural gap.
Interpretation and translation services
we provide interpretation and translation services to be able to guide non English speaking refugees and immigrants through medical appointments, parent teacher conferences, school registration and any other needed areas.
we provide driving instructions, training to immigrants and refugees to assist them in obtaining an Iowa state driver's license, which is a big milestone to self-sufficiency .
Resource & referral.
we connect immigrant and refugee families to surrounding resources this includes neighboring police department, Bank creditors, schools, employers, etc. we also help fill out different applications including benefit applications, immigration applications and employment application.
